Forever

Within 1 Second

The Truth

Lover

LOVE

- Love is begot by fancy;
Bred by ignorance,
By expectation fed,
Destroyed by knowledge;
And at best;
It's lost in the moment which posses.

In The Quiet Land

In The Quiet Land
(By Daw Aung San Suu Kyi)

In the Quiet Land, no one can tell
if there's someone who's listening
for secrets they can sell.
The informers are paid in the blood of the land
and no one dares speak what the tyrants won't stand.

In the quiet land of Burma,
no one laughs and no one thinks out loud.
In the quiet land of Burma,
you can hear it in the silence of the crowd

In the Quiet Land, no one can say
when the soldiers are coming
to carry them away.
The Chinese want a road; the French want the oil;
the Thais take the timber; and SLORC takes the spoils...

In the Quiet Land....
In the Quiet Land, no one can hear
what is silenced by murder
and covered up with fear.
But, despite what is forced, freedom's a sound
that liars can't fake and no shouting can drown.

Believe in Yourself

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who'll decide where to go.
~Dr. Seuss.

Confidence is preparation.
Everything else is beyond your control.
~Richard Kline

Anyone who ever gave you confidence, you owe them a lot.
~Truman Capote

Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.
~Eleanor Roosevelt

Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
~Veronica A. Shoffstall

Only as high as I reach can I grow,
Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see,
Only as much as I dream can I be.
~Karen Ravn

Free bird towards a Free Burma

Free bird towards a free Burma
(By Daw Aung San Suu Kyi)

My home...
where I was born and raised
used to be warm and lovely
now filled with darkness and horror.

My family...
whom I had grown with
used to be cheerful and lively
now living with fear and terror.

My friends...
whom I shared my life with
used to be pure and merry
now living with wounded heart.

A free bird...
which is just freed
used to be caged
now flying with an olive branch
for the plave it loves.

A free bird towards a Free Burma.

Down's Syndrome

Cells normally carry two carry two matched sets of twenty-three chromosomes for a total of forty-six chromosomes. One set of twenty-three chromosomes comes from each parent. Down's syndrome occurs when one chromosome pair is damaged. That pair is designated as chromosome #21.

As a woman grows older, she faces a greater risk of having a baby with Down's syndrome. For example, a woman in her twenties faces a risk of about 1 in 4,000. By the age of thirty-five, that risk has increased to 1 in 400 and, by the age of forty-five, to 1 in 35.

Men with Down's syndrome appear to be uniformly sterile. That is, they are unable to have children. Women with Down's syndrome, however, are usually able to have babies. About half of these babies will also be born with Down's syndrome.

What is DNA?

A human being is made up of millions of cells. Inside each of these cells is a small chemical called DNA.

DNA is like a thumbprint, it carries information about you. Nobody, not even your mum and dad will have the same DNA as you (unless you have an identical twin).

The long string of DNA is divided up into small portions that are called genes.

A gene is something that gives you a characteristic, such as the colour of your eyes, or different types of cells, such as heart of liver cell.

You inherit your genes from your mum and dad.
Each human being has 23 pair of chromosomes. One chromosome comes from your mum and the other comes from your dad.
